‘Minivet’ is SKUAST-K’s first e-magazine dedicated to the artistic brilliance of our talented students. It aims to artistically enhance the learning experience and to give vent to the creative and innovative side of the student’s mind. Minivet reflects SKUAST’s commitment to the holistic development of our students and is an innovative initiative of learning through art. Minivet is also a platform to help students learn to present scientific concepts lucidly through documentaries, graphic designs and digital art.
The magazine has been aptly named after the vibrant and colourful Minivet bird. The wordplay behind the name captures the essence of both the veterinarians and their subjects. This remarkable bird, also sighted on our campus, represents the rich tapestry of the avian world - an essential aspect of veterinary education. It is all these connections that make this name truly suitable for our magazine. Much like our students, the minivet is a symbol of vibrance and vitality, epitomizing their boundless potential to spread their wings and soar into the expansive skies of opportunity.
Brought to life by the Art and Craft Club of FVSc and AH, this entirely paperless magazine embodies our commitment to nurturing creativity and innovation. Our deepest aspiration is to unveil and polish the artistic talents of our students, allowing them to share their unique perspectives with the world. We firmly believe in empowering our future veterinarians by instilling in them the confidence to conquer the world.
Minivet showcases a diverse array of artistic expressions, including documentaries, digital art, graphic design, paintings, photographs, posters, banners, crafts and sculptures etc. Additionally, the magazine features the artistic journeys of our students, offering a glimpse into their growth as well as the stories behind their creations.
